We are back and excited to welcome you to River Roots Sukkot 2026.

What started as a simple gathering has grown into something deeply meaningful. It is a place to unplug, reconnect, and celebrate Sukkot in a way that feels real, grounded, and full of life. Set against the peaceful backdrop of River Ridge Retreat, River Roots is all about community, rest, worship, and joy, bringing people together around shared meals, music, and moments that actually matter.

Over this last year, this gathering has become something special. It is not about putting on a big production, but about creating an environment where people can show up as they are, grow in their faith, and spend intentional time with others.
This year will continue in that same direction with time for teaching, worship, fellowship, and space to just be present.

TEACHERS
RICO CORTES
Rico is a teacher of the Scriptures, Torah follower, and believer in Messiah Yeshua. He has been given the opportunity to share the Word of God with many believers around the world. His work as a servant of the Most High God has allowed Him to be a voice to spread the good news of the New Testament, unveiling its truth through context and obedience to the Almighty through his Torah.
DINAH DYE
Dr. Dinah Dye was raised in a vibrant Jewish community in Ottawa, Canada. For over 45 years, she has studied the Bible through its original cultural and historical lens, a journey that led her to Yeshua (Jesus). She holds degrees in education and business, along with a Doctorate of Ministry in Hebraic Studies in Christianity.
The goal of her ministry is to help believers reconnect the New Testament to the Hebrew Scriptures. She speaks at conferences across the United States and works with students, helping them see the Bible through ancient eyes.
DAVID JONES
​Dr. David E Jones Ph.D. is the Senior Pastor of Ruach Ministries International in the Tampa Bay, FL area. He is an Author, Pastor, Teacher, and International speaker. He also serves in the Shepherd’s Council for Messianic Israel Alliance and is an Elder for B’ney Yosef North America. Dr. David’s desire is to reveal the heart of the Father so that all may come to know Him intimately. He has a passion to bring the body of Messiah into maturity of faith by walking in the restored eternal paths that the Father desires for His children.
RYAN WHITE
Ryan White is a Bible teacher and founder of Faith of Messiah, a teaching ministry focused on helping believers understand Scripture through its ancient historical, cultural, and literary context. He holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with a specialization in the Old Testament, with training in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and ancient Near Eastern literature.
For more than a decade, Ryan has taught with a passion for showing how the Torah, the Prophets, and the writings of the New Testament form one unified story centered in Messiah. His work helps people move beyond surface-level readings and engage the Bible with greater clarity, depth, and confidence.
Ryan’s teaching style is thoughtful, grounded, and accessible, equipping audiences to wrestle honestly with the text while growing in faith, wisdom, and reverence for the God of Israel.

"Laura Metzing is a singer, songwriter, and a worship artist. She currently leads worship at her local shabbat congregation and is working on another album. Raised in a family that cherished worship, she began leading and writing songs as a teenager and has since used her gift to connect people with God’s presence. Laura’s soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics invite others into a space of reflection, peace, and renewal."
